Polynucleotides

What are they?

Polynucleotides are the most exciting new development in regenerative aesthetics treatments. In a similar way to Profhilo, polynucelotides are injected into the top layer of the skin and stimulate your own cells to produce collagen and elastin lost in the ageing process. After treatment skin looks fuller and healthier, laxity has decreased and the results are pretty impressive! They are a particularly amazing treatment for around the eyes.

Where can they be used?

Polynucelotides can be used almost anywhere on the face or body. Commonly treated areas include around the eyes, on the neck. They can improve the appearance of scars e.g. acne scars on the cheeks. They also improve hair growth and can be used on the scalp to regenerate hair loss.

What does the treatment involve?

Numbing gel will be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment and the treatment itself takes around 5-10 minutes to administer. The polynucelotides are given in a series of tiny injections and three sessions of treatment are required 2-4 weeks apart. The results are not instant but the effects are produced naturally from within, there is no artificial product.

Info to be aware of:

Polynucelotides are made from sustainable fish sources and so are not suitable for those with fish allergies or averse to animal products. Immediately following treatment localised swelling and bruising in the area is likely to be seen. This should settle in the first 24 hours but bruising may last for up to 1 week.
