Polynucleotides

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are biostimulating injectable treatments derived from highly purified fragments of DNA. They work by stimulating your skin’s natural regeneration processes, improving hydration, elasticity, and skin texture.

At Dr NG Aesthetics, I use Croma PolyPhil or Plinest, a polynucleotide gel designed to promote long-term skin quality improvements through tissue regeneration and deep hydration.

How does it work?

Polynucleotides activate fibroblasts in the skin (the cells responsible for collagen and elastin production), improve microcirculation, and reduce oxidative stress. This supports skin repair, reduces signs of ageing and enhances radiance. You may start to notice visible improvements in skin quality after a few weeks, with continued benefits over time.

What can it treat?

Polynucleotides are suitable for use on the face, neck, and other delicate areas. It can
improve:

- Fine lines and skin laxity
- Under-eye crepiness
- Skin texture and tone
- General skin hydration and glow

It’s a regenerative treatment, not a filler—it does not add volume but helps restore healthy skin function.

Is it safe?

Yes, when performed by a qualified medical professional. Croma PolyPhil and Plinest are
CE-marked and manufactured to high safety standards. Side effects are typically mild and
include temporary redness, swelling, or bruising.

Does it hurt?

I will apply numbing cream before treating delicate areas like around the eyes or lips. Most people find the procedure comfortable.

How long do results last?

A course of 3 sessions spaced 2–5 weeks apart is usually recommended for optimal results, with maintenance sessions every 12 months.
